In 1787, HMS Bounty set sail for Tahiti in search of breadfruit plants, where Master's mate Fletcher Christian led a revolt against the tyranny of Captain William Bligh. In this journal, fellow mutineer James Morrison recounts the Bounty's voyage from his perspective as the boatswain's mate. However, the mutiny itself simply serves as an introduction to Morrison's remarkable subsequent journey through the South Seas. Morrison was a born story teller and his story is an enthralling tale for the general reader as well as being a valuable historic eye-witness document.
