This book is the result of a PhD dissertation on the Images of women and the Society's Attitude in Wolaita proverbs. The study has revealed how women are negatively and positively represented in Wolaita proverbs. Moreover the impact of the proverbs on the current generation's attitude has been explored in this study. Even though the society's attitude is changing towards women because of education and the change in terms of women's right legally, but a lot must be done to empower women economically to challenge the age old tradition which still undermines the role of women among the Wolaita people of Ethiopia.
