The book deals with thirty three invasive alien species of Gujarat. Their botanical name, origin, local name, family, description, flowering & fruiting, distribution, ecological impacts, control measures and any other information. The book also provides an exhaustive list of 387 exotic plant species found in Gujarat. The list will help the environmental managers to keep track of the probable species that might become invasive in near future. Gujarat Biodiversity board (GBB) has made Biodiversity Management Committee (BMC) for promoting conservation, sustainable use and documentation of biological diversity.
