Multi-functional Concrete with Recycled Aggregates introduces recent research practice on addressing environmental sustainability (e.g., reducing air pollution) whilst at the same time utilizing recycled aggregates from construction & demolition (C&D) wastes. It aims to address the current state-of-the-art developments of utilizing C&D wastes and at the same time achieving other sustainability issues. The chapters provide an overview of existing research and practices in traditional recycled aggregate concrete. There are also sections that introduce the latest studies of high-performance concrete adopting recycled aggregates from C&D wastes; managerial aspects of C&D waste management by promoting the usage of different types of RAC from technical, policy, and managerial perspectives and the entire waste reuse model to enhance the reuse and recycling rate of C&D wastes. Particular emphasis is also placed on disseminating the latest research findings of multi-functional recycled aggregate concrete by achieving waste reuse whilst realizing other environmental sustainability goals and linking multi-purpose sustainable concrete technical development into C&D waste management, such as a holistic full usage of wastes from different sizes of recycled aggregates.
