This book depicts "Organizing" as a broader term than management. It entails the understanding of how people and machines interact with each other, how resources, data, goods are exchanged in complex and intertwined value chains, as well as how lines of action and activities can be articulated according to flexible protocols and often ad-hoc processes in situated practices of use and production. The book contains a collection of research papers shedding light on these phenomena and the related practices from both an academic and a professional perspective.
