Nowadays, sub-state actors can be seen as one of the emerging and most influential actors in the international arena. Sub-state actors foreign relations can be seen around the world, but it is most visible in Western industrialized countries. There are several different sub-national governments and regions that practice international relations, including Quebec, Wallonia, Catalonia, the Basque region and, of course, the Kurdistan Region.
